1~ WHY ARE THESE LINES INCLUDED IN THE TEXT?? WHAT DO THEY REVEAL ABOUT THE AUTHOR??

This piece of text is included to show that Joe and Simon are proud of their accomplishment and feel victory as they reach the summit of Siula Grande. However it reveals to us that after reaching the top Joe thought of where he would go or what he would do next, he questions himself about why he’s here. Joe feels as though now he has succeeded his dream and feels pressured to conjure up another more dangerous dream. As a reader it makes us realise that once things come to an end we have to learn accept the fact it’s over and we must continue on with life accomplishing and creating more dreams as we go.

2~ WHAT IMPORTANT IDEAS/MESSAGES DO THESE LINES REVEAL ABOUT THE “DANGEROUS MEN” THAT T.E. LAWRENCE REFERS TO IN THE OPENING OF THE TEXT??
